Scarf for tomatoes. . . three views of one

Yes, this fellow resident had access to a little garden and brought me many red mini tomatoes AND some yellow pear shaped ones too!  They were sooooooooooooooooo good that I told him I would make  him a neck scarf (which he had admired when I was making for my project).  I told him if he bought the yarn, I would make him a scarf and I got to keep the leftover yarn for my project.  He readily concurred.  I would never have thought of putting purple with black. . . but that was his choice.

I am still looking for the rest of the photos of my scarf project I did for the give a way. . . hope to share them soon.

  1. Well, black and purple certainly turned out well....I know your neighbor will be pleased...it is always good to barter/swap for things isn't it?
Our club will be making HOPE BLANKETS for the homeless this year. 10 inch knitted or crocheted squares are sewn together to make the blankets. The design and color of yarn are the choice of the one who makes the square....I hope we get lots of them done.
    Have a good weekend,

But for tomatoes trade, I would have knitted a red scarf! :o)
